Escape to The Cozy Canopy Treehouse, a charming, dog-friendly, two-level mountain retreat in Murphy, North Carolina. Surrounded by nature, this unique one-bedroom couple’s getaway features seasonal long-range mountain views with trail access from the property leading through U.S. Forest Service land to the backwaters of Lake Hiawassee; outdoor exploration begins just beyond your doorstep. The main level features an open living space with a kitchen, dining area, and a comfortable living room with a Smart TV. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, Air Fryer/Toaster/Oven combo (fits 12” pizza), convection stovetop and Keurig K-cup Coffee maker. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower and an all-in-one washer and dryer add convenience for longer stays. Upstairs, the private bedroom features a queen bed, a Smart TV, and a laptop -friendly desk and chair – ideal for working remotely while enjoying your mountain getaway. A telescope & binoculars are available for guests to watch the local birds & enjoy the surrounding views, with extra lenses stored in the drawer next to the bed. Enjoy two distinct outdoor spaces during your stay. On the ground level, a fenced-in gravel patio offers a relaxing spot to gather, complete with outdoor furniture, a picnic table, a gas BBQ grill, a wood-burning fire pit, and an outdoor beverage fridge available year-round. Bird feeders are available for guest use also. Upstairs, the second-level balcony features two Brazillian hammock chairs & sectional couch and a propane fire pit-perfect for unwinding in the fresh mountain air. Two mini-split systems on each level provide heating and cooling, offering a year-round peaceful escape, outdoor adventure or a change of scenery while working remotely. Adventure and small-town charm are close by. Head into downtown Murphy (just 5 minutes away), grab a cup of coffee and a homemade donut and take a stroll along the Murphy River Walk. Enjoy local shopping, dining and seasonal festivals and events. Farmers Market runs from April-Oct. Murphy is very dog friendly. Lake Hiawassee offers opportunities for fishing, paddling, and enjoying the water (seasonally), and a tandem kayak is available for guests to use.
